Description

Dozens of weddings are held here every year on this heart shaped island in front of Hotel Contessa on the beautiful San Antonio Riverwalk in Texas. The big Cypress tree is over 100 years old. Father Damien Massanet conducted a Mass here June 13, 1691. The tradition of marriages here began shortly after the Mexican revolution when Priests blessed the area. The bridge is the Navarro Street Bridge. Picture was taken in April, 2018.
